Summary: The hard tick Ixodes ricinus is considered the most important vector of human zoonotic diseases in Europe, spreading various pathogens in Sweden. Co-infections with multiple tick-borne pathogens may complicate diagnosis and clinical management. This study aimed to investigate the presence and clinical impact of tick-borne pathogens other than Borrelia burgdorferi s.l. in patients under investigation for Lyme neuroborreliosis in South-eastern Sweden.
