A comparative study on the effects of resveratrol and oxyresveratrol against tyrosinase activity and their inhibitory mechanism

Hua-Jin Zeng et al.

Summary: The study showed that oxyresveratrol had better inhibitory effects on tyrosinase activity and melanin formation compared to resveratrol. The difference in their inhibitory mechanism may be related to the type of inhibition, the strength of their interaction with tyrosinase, and the number of hydrogen bonds between them.
