In vivo relationship between near-infrared spectroscony-detected lipid-rich plaques and morphological plaque characteristics by optical coherence tomography and intravascular ultrasound: a multimodality intravascular imaging study

Christian Zanchin et al.

Summary: The study assessed the morphological features of NIRS-detected LRPs using OCT and IVUS, finding that LRPs with higher maxLCBI(4mm) values were more likely to exhibit TCFA morphology and increased plaque burden. MaxLCBI(4mm) was identified as the best predictor for TCFA.
