Improving the cancer prevention/treatment role of carotenoids through various nano-delivery systems

Mahboobeh Zare et al.

Summary: The use of natural bioactive compounds and phytochemicals, particularly carotenoids, encapsulated in nanodelivery systems is a promising strategy to enhance their efficiency in cancer therapy. Studies have shown that these nanocarriers improve the solubility, cellular uptake, membrane permeation, bioaccessibility, and stability of carotenoids, ultimately contributing to their potential roles in cancer prevention and treatment.
