Effect of in ovo copper injection on body weight, immune response, blood biochemistry and carcass traits of broiler chicks at 35 days of age

Summary: In ovo injection of copper during embryogenesis can increase body weight of broiler chicks without adversely affecting immunity, carcass traits, and biochemical parameters. A lower level of copper (8 μg/egg) yielded better results compared to a higher level (16 μg/egg).

Nano-selenium Supplementation Increases Selenoprotein (Sel) Gene Expression Profiles and Milk Selenium Concentration in Lactating Dairy Cows

Summary: The study showed that supplementation with Nano-Se resulted in higher milk Se levels and GSH-Px activities in dairy cows compared to sodium selenite. Nano-Se also increased plasma Se levels and GSH-Px activity, as well as upregulated the expression of antioxidant related genes in mammary glands.

In Vivo and In Vitro Evaluation of Bull Semen Processed with Zinc (Zn) Nanoparticles

Summary: This study found that adding zinc nanoparticles during semen processing and cryopreservation can improve plasma membrane integrity and mitochondrial activity of bull sperm, while reducing MDA levels. In vitro fertilization with semen treated with zinc nanoparticles did not affect embryo development rate, but supplementation of in vitro maturation media with zinc nanoparticles increased blastocyst rate.

Efficiency of GnRH-Loaded Chitosan Nanoparticles for Inducing LH Secretion and Fertile Ovulations in Protocols for Artificial Insemination in Rabbit Does

Summary: Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH)-loaded chitosan nanoparticles (GnRH-ChNPs) were used to induce ovulation in rabbits for artificial insemination. The use of GnRH-ChNPs reduced the intramuscular GnRH dose by half without compromising fertility, but adding them to semen extenders had negative impacts. Further studies are needed to explore this point and make adjustments.
