Prediction and analysis of PM2.5 in Fuling District of Chongqing by artificial neural network

Xianghong Wang et al.

Summary: The study found that PM2.5 concentration has correlations with temperature, relative humidity, and wind speed, as well as being influenced by aerosol optical depth. Using a BP artificial neural network model for PM2.5 prediction based on meteorological data is feasible and shows similar trends with measured data.

Green blasting policy: Simultaneous forecast of vertical and horizontal distribution of dust emissions using artificial causality-weighted neural network

Ezzeddin Bakhtavar et al.

Summary: This study developed an approach based on a multi-layer artificial neural network and fuzzy cognitive map to predict the vertical and horizontal distribution of blast-induced dust emissions. The performance evaluation indicated good results with high accuracy and the approach successfully reduced the distribution of dust in the surrounding areas.

Air Pollution Risk Assessment Using a Hybrid Fuzzy Intelligent Probability-Based Approach: Mine Blasting Dust Impacts

Ezzeddin Bakhtavar et al.

Summary: This study aimed to develop a hybrid risk assessment approach using artificial intelligence, probability, and fuzzy numbers to assess the risks of blast-induced dust emissions to ecosystems surrounding surface mines. The gene expression programming equation provided the best possible model for predicting dust emission distance. Monte Carlo simulation indicated that dust emission distance did not exceed certain values with confidence levels, while the results showed that the dust risk on farms was negligible to low compared to humans due to distance range.
