In-vitro fatigue and fracture performance of three different ferrulized implant connections used in fixed prosthesis

Saverio Cosola et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the fatigue resistance of dental fixtures with different types of fixture/abutment finishing lines, showing that implants with ferrulized neck and cement-retained crown had a higher Ultimate Failure Load. No fractures of the titanium base were observed during fatigue tests, but permanent deformations of the materials were noted.

Stress and strain distribution in femoral heads for hip resurfacing arthroplasty with different materials: A finite element analysis

Danny Vogel et al.

Summary: This computational study evaluated the effect of different materials and fixation methods of HRA implants on stress and strain distribution in adjacent bone. Results showed that using PEEK or a hybrid material as HRA implants can significantly reduce stress and strain shielding compared to stiffer materials such as CoCr, ATZ, and ZTA, indicating better potential for reducing stress and strain alteration in the femoral head.

In-Vitro Investigation of Fatigue and Fracture Behavior of Transmucosal versus Submerged Bone Level Implants Used in Fixed Prosthesis

Saverio Cosola et al.

Summary: This in vitro study investigated the fatigue performance of different dental fixtures in two different emergence profiles. Results showed that the transmucosal implant design provided higher resistance to static fracture, while the equicrestal implant design improved dynamic endurance.

Comparison of stress distribution on dental implant with different abutment types

N. Jayakumar et al.

Summary: The study investigates the impact of different heights and angles of implant abutments on stress distribution in the implants, showing that different types of abutments exhibit variations in stress performance under different loading conditions.

A review article on factors affecting bone loss in dental implants

Shriya Nimbalkar et al.

Summary: The success of dental implants relies heavily on the complete osseointegration between the bone and the implant, with factors like mechanical overloading, implant design, and bone density affecting the process. Further research controlling these factors is needed to draw clearer conclusions on implant success rates.
