Nurses' and physicians' knowledge of guidelines for preventing catheter-related blood stream infections

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate and compare the knowledge of evidence-based guidelines for preventing catheter-related bloodstream infections (CRBSI) among physicians and nurses in Jordan. The results showed that nurses had a significantly higher knowledge score than physicians, but overall, both groups had a low level of knowledge. It is important to address this issue through routine assessment, training programs, and policies to improve knowledge and ensure compliance with the guidelines in clinical practice.
