The optical properties of Gafchromic EBT films were investigated under various solar power intensities, showing a strong dependence of parameters such as absorbance, transmittance, and reflectance on solar power intensity. This suggests that EBT films can be considered suitable candidates for many sensing and dosimetry applications.
The optical properties of Gafchromic EBT films are investigated under various solar power intensities. The films are exposed to solar radiation with different powers (0, 0.3, 0.5, 0.8, 1 SUN) for 30 min in each case. The absorbance, transmittance and reflectance of the films are thoroughly investigated. Other important parameters such as: absorption coefficient, extinction coefficient, energy bandgaps and refractive index are determined. These pa-rameters show strong dependence on the solar power intensity, suggesting that EBT films can be considered as suitable candidates for many sensing and dosimetry applications.
