Promising photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange dye via sol-gel synthesized Ag-CdS@Pr-TiO2 core/shell nanoparticles

Anoop Singh et al.

Summary: The study prepared core-shell structured Ag-CdS@Pr-TiO2 nanoparticles and investigated their photocatalytic activity for degrading methyl orange under visible light. Various techniques confirmed the composition, morphology, and optical properties of the synthesized core/shell nanoparticles. The synthesized material showed potential for efficiently degrading methyl orange based on the discoloration of dye within 30 minutes.

Reducible oxide and allotropic transition induced by hydrogen annealing: synthesis routes of TiO2 thin films to tailor optical response

F. G. Echeverrigaray et al.

Summary: Optical properties of hydrogenated TiO2 thin films deposited by ion beam sputtering method have remarkable structural changes and can be applied in solar energy conversion and catalytic reactions. The hydrogenation process results in a shift from Ti4+ to Ti3+ state, prompting the emergence of disorder in the films.
