Recent Progress on the Alloy-Based Anode for Sodium-Ion Batteries and Potassium-Ion Batteries

Keming Song et al.

Summary: High-energy batteries with low cost are urgently needed for large-scale energy storage systems. Alloy-based anodes for sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) and potassium-ion batteries (PIBs) show great potential, but further improvements are necessary for long lifetime and high energy density. This study summarizes the latest progress in alloy-based anodes for SIBs and PIBs, discussing material designs and future research prospects.

Recent advances in electrospun electrode materials for sodium-ion batteries

Yao Wang et al.

Summary: Researchers have used electrospinning to prepare electrode materials for sodium storage, aiming to enhance the performance of SIBs. One-dimensional nanomaterials show promising prospects in improving the rate and cycling performances of SIBs due to their large active surface areas, high endurance for deformation stress, short ions diffusion channels, and oriented electrons transfer paths.

Ultrafine MoP Nanoparticle Splotched Nitrogen-Doped Carbon Nanosheets Enabling High-Performance 3D-Printed Potassium-Ion Hybrid Capacitors

Wei Zong et al.

Summary: In this study, a series of MoP nanoparticle splotched nitrogen-doped carbon nanosheets (MoP@NC) were successfully synthesized, where MoP was uniformly confined in a 3D porous NC to form ultrafine nanoparticles facilitating ionic binding and storage. MoP@NC-1 demonstrated excellent performance and cycling stability, and was used as a highly electroactive additive in 3D printing ink to fabricate high-performance 3D-printed potassium-ion hybrid capacitors.
