Effect of crump rubber on the solid particle erosion response of epoxy composites

Kiran Shahapurkar et al.

Summary: Solid particle erosion response of neat epoxy and crumb rubber filled epoxy composites were investigated. The composites with 30 vol.% crumb rubber showed the best erosion resistance, attributed to the elastic nature of rubber particles.

Compressive behavior of crump rubber reinforced epoxy composites

Kiran Shahapurkar

Summary: The study found that crump rubber reinforced epoxy composites exhibit high energy absorption and higher strain capacity, but their compression modulus and strength values are lower than pure epoxy. By increasing the crump rubber content, the energy absorption of the composite can be significantly improved.

Factors affecting the solid particle erosion of environment pollutant and natural particulate filled polymer composites-A review

Kiran Shahapurkar et al.

Summary: The erosion behavior of polymer composites filled with naturally available and environment pollutant fillers is not as well-studied as for metals or ceramics, making it a focus of current research. In this study, the erosion response of these composites is reviewed, highlighting the need for further research on the erosion of environment pollutant fillers.
