Use of additives to regulate solute aggregation and direct conformational polymorph nucleation of pimelic acid

Peng Shi et al.

Summary: Understanding the nucleation pathway and regulation is essential in producing desired crystals. Through the use of homologous additives, this study demonstrated a direct link between solute aggregation and conformational polymorph nucleation, showing that longer-chain additives have a stronger form II-inducing ability. The findings provide valuable insights into the manipulation of crystal formation through solute self-assembly interference.
