Modelling and accessing land degradation vulnerability using remote sensing techniques and the analytical hierarchy process approach

Abebe Debele Tolche et al.

Summary: The study in Ethiopia identified and mapped vulnerable zones for land degradation using precipitation, NDVI, LST, topography, and pedological properties. The NDVI was found to be the most significant parameter in determining land degradation vulnerability. The research utilized geospatial techniques and the AHP approach, with validation through Google Earth image and Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) analysis, showing high prediction accuracy for LD vulnerability zone modeling.
