Associations of emotional burden and coping strategies with sick leave among healthcare professionals: A longitudinal observational study

Summary: The study found that care-related regrets are associated with an increased risk of sick leave among healthcare professionals, especially nurses and physicians in different ways. Coping strategies partially mediated this association in nurses but did not have a significant effect in physicians.
