Whole brain functional recordings at cellular resolution in zebrafish larvae with 3D scanning multiphoton microscopy

Matteo Bruzzone et al.

Summary: Optical recordings of neuronal activity at cellular resolution are a valuable tool for investigating brain mechanisms. In this study, a new design for whole brain imaging based on sequential 3D point-scanning excitation is presented. By adopting this approach, functional responses from retinal ganglion cells and whole brain activity in zebrafish larvae can be detected with high resolution.
