Representational measurement theory: Is its number up?

Summary: Representational measurement theory was proposed to address issues arising from disciplinary ideals of 19th-century mathematicians, but later improvements by Stevens and Suppes still failed to fully consider the importance of attributes in measurement. The theory to some extent misguides measurement and ultimately refutes itself.
