Patient-Reported Continuity of Care and Functional Safety Concerns After Inpatient Cancer Rehabilitation

Jegy M. Tennison et al.

Summary: Patients with cancer generally reported adequate continuity of care and feeling safe to function at home after acute inpatient rehabilitation, but the risk of falls or near-falls within 1 month after discharge is significantly associated with factors such as brain metastasis, comorbidity of depression, and a history of falls. More focused fall prevention education and interventions may benefit patients with these risk factors.
