A Meta-Analysis of Line Bisection and Landmark Task Performance in Older Adults

Gemma Learmonth et al.

Summary: The study found that adults aged 50 and above exhibit a leftward bias in the line bisection task, but no spatial bias in the landmark task. More research is needed to determine whether this bias can be modulated by stimulus- or state-dependent factors.

Further to the Left: Stress-Induced Increase of Spatial Pseudoneglect During the COVID-19 Lockdown

Federica Somma et al.

Summary: This study investigated the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on spatial cognition tasks, particularly regarding spatial exploration and pseudoneglect. Results showed an increase in leftward bias and pseudoneglect among participants during the lockdown, which was positively correlated with perceived stress and negatively correlated with positive coping strategies.
