Novel fusion peptide-mediated siRNA delivery using self-assembled nanocomplex

Yeong Chae Ryu et al.

Summary: Novel synergy fusion peptides SPACE and oligoarginine improved cellular uptake and gene silencing effect of siRNA in vitro, as well as retention and gene silencing effects of siRNAs in vivo. The nanocomplexes using fusion peptides showed enhanced cellular uptake and gene silencing effects via lipid raft-mediated endocytosis pathway, making them a potential safe and efficient platform for delivering siRNAs for gene silencing therapies.
