Synthesis and characterization of a PAMAM dendrimer nanocarrier functionalized by HA for targeted gene delivery systems and evaluationin vitro

Haimei Hu et al.

Summary: Poly(amido-amine) (PAMAM) modified by hyaluronic acid (HA) showed reduced cytotoxicity and smaller particle size, with improved DNA delivering capacity in cancer cells line. The transfection efficiency of the modified polymers approached that of unmodified polyplexes, making them potential candidates for targeted gene delivery.
