Reduced Ti-MOFs encapsulated black phosphorus with high stability and enhanced photocatalytic activity

Summary: The generation of green hydrogen energy is crucial for solving global energy and environmental issues. Recent studies have focused on reducing Ti-based photocatalysts for their excellent photocatalytic activity, although the synthesis of stable variants remains a challenge. Incorporating small amounts of Pt into reduced Ti metal organic frameworks has been shown to enhance photocatalytic activity and stability.

Summary: A novel noble-metal-free FeCo@NGC cocatalyst was successfully fabricated and showed outstanding performance in photocatalytic H-2 evolution. The optimized FeCo@NGC/g-C3N4 catalyst achieved boosted visible light driven photocatalytic activity, highlighting the potential of noble-metal-free bimetallic nano-alloys as inexpensive and efficient cocatalysts for solar applications.

Nitrogen-rich metal-organic framework mediated Cu-N-C composite catalysts for the electrochemical reduction of CO2

Summary: Cu-based MOFs, such as HKUST-1, are chosen for CO2ER due to copper's unique ability for generating hydrocarbon fuel, yet limited conductivity and stability hinder their development. Exploring MOFs-derived M-C materials starts a new chapter, providing electronic connection between carbon matrix and metals. N-doped Cu-N-C composite catalysts show promising catalytic activity, with nitrogen-rich Cu-BTT MOF as a precursor for Cu-N-C(tau) formation.
