High Prevalence of Anal Oncogenic Human Papillomavirus Infection in Young Men Who Have Sex with Men Living in Bamako, Mali (vol 16, 51, 2021)

Summary: The study in Bamako revealed that the MSM community in the area is at high risk for HR-HPV anal infections, with a diverse range of HPV genotypes, mostly covered by the Gardasil-9 (R) vaccine. Participation in group sex and HIV-1 infection were found to be associated with multiple HPV infections.
