New sources of lentil germplasm for aluminium toxicity tolerance identified by high throughput hydroponic screening

Vani Kulkarni et al.

Summary: This study established a high throughput hydroponics screening method to identify aluminium toxicity tolerant lentil accessions. Some new sources of aluminium tolerant lentil germplasm were found, showing potential for breeding new varieties with aluminium toxicity tolerance. High performing accessions in acid soil screening could be further evaluated for yield potential under field conditions.
