Transcriptomic responses to aluminum stress in tea plant leaves

Danjuan Huang et al.

Summary: The study revealed that the mechanisms of aluminum tolerance in tea plants involve genes related to polysaccharide and cell wall metabolism, ROS detoxification, and signal transduction. Transcription factors such as zinc finger, MYB, and WRKY play a critical role in regulating genes associated with aluminum resistance. Additionally, genes involved in phenolics biosynthesis and decomposition are upregulated in tea plant leaves under aluminum stress, indicating their important role in aluminum tolerance.
