Association of changes in nursing work environment, non-professional tasks, and nursing care left undone with nurse job outcomes and quality of care: A panel study

Summary: This longitudinal study in China's acute hospitals between 2014 and 2018 found improvements in nursing work environment, slight decrease in non-professional workloads, and an increase in unfinished nursing tasks. Nurse job dissatisfaction decreased and quality of care improved slightly. Improving nursing environment, reducing non-professional tasks, and completing unfinished nursing care may benefit nurse job outcomes and promote quality of care.

Job satisfaction and caring behavior among nurses in a military hospital: A cross-sectional study

Summary: The study revealed a positive correlation between job satisfaction and caring behavior of nurses, with factors like supervision, contingent rewards, co-workers, nature of work, and communication showing a significant impact. However, dimensions such as salary, promotion, benefits, and operating procedures were not found to be related to nurses' caring behavior. Management should focus on providing supervision, rewards, empowerment, and collaboration programs to improve nurses' job satisfaction and enhance their caring behavior.
