Different types of built environments were found to have varying effects on depression, with some being associated with lower depressive symptoms and others with an increased risk of depression. Urban planners and city designers can use these findings to reconsider how to create built environments that improve the mental health of older adults.

Associations between socioeconomic development and mortality-a small area panel data analysis in Taiwan, 2000-2015

Summary: The study revealed significant differences in standardized mortality rates among the three counties in central Taiwan, indicating continued health inequality. Results also highlighted the importance of higher levels of socioeconomic development in reducing mortality rates, with education emerging as a key factor regardless of county or township level.
