Intermittent Purpura Development Associated with Leukocytoclastic Vasculitis Induced by Infliximab for Crohn's Disease

Kenichi Kishimoto et al.

Summary: Anti-tumor necrosis factor alpha agents used for treating Crohn's disease can sometimes lead to skin-related adverse events, with rare cases of leukocytoclastic vasculitis. A unique case is presented here, where purpura developed after 10 months of infliximab treatment for CD but did not require discontinuation. This study provides important insights into vasculitis induced by anti-TNF-a agents.
