Nexus between energy efficiency and electricity reforms: A DEA-Based way forward for clean power development

Summary: This study used data from forty-eight countries in five different regions to analyze the impact of energy reforms on energy efficiency. Results show varying performances among countries, with Sub-Saharan Africa seeing improvement after implementing energy reform. The study confirms that energy reform is a good means to achieve high energy efficiency and reduce per-unit energy cost.

Summary: The study conducted cost-benefit analysis and data envelopment analysis on 35 large-scale MBRs, finding that the average cost efficiency and energy efficiency were 0.77 and 0.66, respectively. Results showed significant variations in net profit and cost/energy efficiencies of MBRs based on geographical location, effluent standard, and operating year.
