Gold Nanohelices for Chiral Plasmonic Films by Templated Electroless Plating

Po-Ting Chiu et al.

Summary: Chiral plasmonic films with gold nanohelices were fabricated using enantiomeric polylactide-based block copolymers as templates for templated electroless plating. By controlling helicity during self-assembly, mirror-image signals were identified in electronic circular dichroism spectra, and the chiral plasmonic properties were confirmed through simulation using finite-difference time-domain method. This study provides insights into the fabrication of chiral plasmonic materials for optical applications.

Triply Helical Giant Domain with Homochirality in a Terpolymer Blend System

Yuta Miyamori et al.

Summary: Hexagonally packed coaxial triply helical domains with mesoscopic length scale were successfully created in matrices from a blend system of S1IS2P tetrablock terpolymer/Sh homopolymer, where the intermediate S phase was found to have a helical nature due to S-2 chains filling the gap between the I and P helices. The grains composed of hexagonally packed helices exhibited homochirality.
