Cobalt doping on nickel ferrite nanocrystals enhances the micro-structural and magnetic properties: Shows a correlation between them

Simi Debnath et al.

Summary: PVP capped nickel ferrite nanocrystals (NFN) and cobalt doped nickel ferrite nanocrystals (CNFN) were successfully prepared using thermal heat treatment method, followed by sintering at 700 degrees C. The synthesized nanocrystals were analyzed through XRD, TEM and SEM to study their structural, morphological and magnetic properties. The study showed increase in saturation magnetization and coercivity values with Co doping in NFN, indicating potential applications in memory devices, magnetic recording media and adsorption of toxic materials in water.

Complex dielectric permittivity, electric modulus and electrical conductivity analysis of Au/Si3N4/p-GaAs (MOS) capacitor

Sema Turkay et al.

Summary: RF magnetron sputtering was used to grow silicon nitride thin film on GaAs substrate to form metal-oxide-semiconductor capacitor. The complex dielectric permittivity, complex electric modulus, and complex electrical conductivity of the prepared capacitor were studied in detail. The dielectric constant and loss decreased with increasing frequency, while increased with temperature, and the ac conductivity increased with both temperature and frequency. Activation energy was determined by Arrhenius equation, and the frequency dependence of ac conductivity was analyzed, providing the value of the frequency exponent.

On the frequency-dependent complex-dielectric, complex-electric modulus and conductivity in Au/(NiS:PVP)/n-Si structures

S. Altindal et al.

Summary: Various electrical parameters of Au/(NiS:PVP)/n-Si structures were extracted using impedance-spectroscopy method, with explanations on their variations at different frequencies and voltages. It was suggested that (NiS:PVP) might be a superior option to traditional interlayers like SiO2 due to its lower cost, easy production techniques, and promising electrical properties.

Synthesis, characterization, and performance of nanocomposites containing reduced graphene oxide, polyaniline, and cobalt ferrite

M. Kooti et al.

Summary: In this study, binary and ternary nanocomposites were fabricated by combining reduced graphene oxide, polyaniline, and cobalt ferrite components. The presence of cobalt ferrite led to a hard magnetic behavior and a significant enhancement in the PL peak intensity observed at around 602 nm in the nanocomposites. Electrical measurements showed that the dielectric properties were mainly influenced by interfacial polarization.

Enhanced dielectric properties with a significantly reduced loss tangent in (Mg2+, Al3+) co-doped CaCu3Ti4O12 ceramics: DFT and experimental investigations

Jakkree Boonlakhorn et al.

Summary: The CaCu3Ti4O12 and CaCu2.95Mg0.05Ti3.95Al0.05O12 ceramics were fabricated using a solid-state reaction method, both showing a single-phase of CaCu3Ti4O12. Co-doping with Mg and Al resulted in significant grain size expansion and improved dielectric properties in the ceramics, with high dielectric permittivity and low loss tangent achieved in the CaCu2.95Mg0.05Ti3.95Al0.05O12 ceramic. Experimental and computational results suggest that the enhanced dielectric properties in the co-doped ceramic may be attributed to improved grain boundary responses, particularly from metastable phases and oxygen enrichment at the grain boundaries.

Structural and morphological studies, and temperature/frequency dependence of electrical conductivity of Ba0.97La0.02Ti1-xNb4x/5O3 perovskite ceramics

M. Jebli et al.

Summary: The electrical behavior of BaLT1-xNb4x/5 ceramics was studied, revealing an increase in conductivity with higher Nb content, frequency dependence in accordance with the Jonscher power law, and the suitability of barrier hopping and polaron tunneling models to explain conduction mechanisms. Additionally, increasing temperature led to an increase in DC conductivity, confirming the semiconducting nature of the materials.
