Analysis of the Site Effects in the North East Region of India Using the Recorded Strong Ground Motions from Moderate Earthquakes

Manisha Sandhu et al.

Summary: Estimating site effects using recorded ground motion is an effective method for assessing seismic hazard. This study examines the local site effects in different locations in the North East region of India using recorded strong ground motion data. The analysis reveals the impact of geological formations on the predominant frequencies and pseudo velocity response, as well as the correlation between HVSR and PSV. The study also classifies the sites based on shear wave velocity in the upper 30 m.
