Investigations of thermoelectric properties of ZnO monolayers from the first-principles approach

Bakhtiar Ul Haq et al.

Summary: In recent years, two-dimensional ZnO has emerged as a promising material for thermoelectric applications due to its low cost and non-toxic behavior. This study reports the thermoelectric response of two monolayers of ZnO derived from polar and non-polar surfaces, showing different thermoelectric properties under different doping conditions, and exhibiting high values of thermoelectric figure-of-merit at room temperature.
