Dose in Exercise-Based Dysphagia Therapies: A Scoping Review

Brittany N. Krekeler et al.

Summary: The optimal exercise doses for dysphagia treatment remain unclear. This scoping review identified varied dosing parameters for exercise-based treatments of swallowing impairments, highlighting the importance of considering frequency, duration, repetition, and intensity components for reproducibility and comparison across studies. Further research is needed to determine the optimal dose ranges for a wide variety of exercise-based dysphagia interventions.
