NOPCHAP1 is a PAQosome cofactor that helps loading NOP58 on RUVBL1/2 during box C/D snoRNP biogenesis

Yoann Abel et al.

Summary: The study reveals that NOPCHAP1 acts as a cofactor of PAQosome to select NOP58 for promoting box C/D snoRNP assembly. Through direct physical interactions with NOP58 and RUVBL1/2, NOPCHAP1 bridges the formation of cellular machineries and its interaction with RUVBL1/2 is disrupted upon ATP binding. Additionally, NOPCHAP1 shows little interactions with NOP56 and PRPF31, suggesting a selective role in client loading.

Cyclin A2 maintains colon homeostasis and is a prognostic factor in colorectal cancer

Yuchen Guo et al.

Summary: The deletion of cyclin A2 in colonic epithelial cells led to architectural changes, inflammation, and increased proliferation associated with dysplasia in a mouse model. Clinical analysis revealed higher expression of CCNA2 in early-stage CRC tumors compared to late-stage tumors. Moreover, high expression of CCNA2 was identified as a new independent prognostic factor for CRC tumors.
