Si fertigation attenuates water stress in forages by modifying carbon stoichiometry, favouring physiological aspects

Juan Ricardo Rocha et al.

Summary: The research demonstrates that the use of silicon fertigation enhances silicon absorption, reduces carbon content and carbon-silicon ratio, improves carbon use efficiency, and promotes growth and dry matter production in forages, especially under water deficit conditions. This indicates a new strategy to mitigate water deficit in forages through enhancing physiological aspects and modifying carbon stoichiometry.
