Bi-objective optimization for a two-depot automated storage/retrieval system

Xiaoyi Man et al.

Summary: The study focuses on a new bi-objective S/R machine sequencing problem with task release time and due date in a two-depot AS/RS, aiming to minimize the total travel time of the S/R machine and the total tardiness simultaneously. By establishing a new bi-objective mixed integer linear programming model and devising efficient algorithms based on problem property analysis, the computational results demonstrate the efficiency and effectiveness of the proposed methods.

Asymmetric Multidepot Vehicle Routing Problems: Valid Inequalities and a Branch-and-Cut Algorithm

Michiel A. J. Uit Het Broek et al.

Summary: A generic branch-and-cut framework is presented for solving routing problems with multiple depots and asymmetric cost structures, introducing new D-k inequalities and generalizing other known valid inequalities. The framework is effective in reducing optimality gaps and can handle larger instances than previously reported in the literature.
