The study synthesized a cationic catalyst Au(DPB)X-3 with a specific ligand, which was successfully utilized in a specific reaction of yne-indoles.
In order to investigate catalyst activation via a (Au -> B)(8) interaction, Au(DPB)X-3 (DPB = diphosphine-borane) featuring an L-2/Z ligand was synthesized. The resulting cationic catalyst was utilized for the unprecedented diastereoselective tricyclization/dimerization of yne-indoles. (C) 2021 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
