Ant colony optimization-induced route optimization for enhancing driving range of electric vehicles

Summary: This paper presents a fitness-ant colony optimization (FACO)-based route optimization method for electric vehicles (EVs), aiming to improve the driving range. By considering the inputs of power and travel time, the optimal route is selected. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method increases the driving distance and the number of delivery point visits, while reducing power depletion and waiting time.

Time-optimal gearshift and energy management strategies for a hybrid electric race car

This paper presents an algorithm to calculate time-optimal strategies and demonstrates its effectiveness through a case study at the Bahrain racetrack. The results highlight the importance of jointly optimizing energy management and gearshift strategies to minimize lap time.

Predicting the energy output of hybrid PV-wind renewable energy system using feature selection technique for smart grids

Summary: In the current study, different machine learning models are compared to estimate power and energy of hybrid photovoltaic (PV)-wind renewable energy systems using seven weather factors. The results suggest that opting feature selection technique using linear regression model outperforms all the other models in all evaluation metrics having to mean squared error (MSE) of 0.000000104, mean absolute error (MAE) of 0.00083, R-2 of 99.6%, and computation time of 0.02 s. This sustainable computational scheme has vast potential to enhance smart grids efficiency by predicting the energy produced by renewable energy systems.

Integrated Charger-Inverter for High-Performance Electric Motorcycles
