Strain Tuning via Larger Cation and Anion Codoping for Efficient and Stable Antimony-Based Solar Cells

Riming Nie et al.

Summary: Strain tuning in Sb-Chs was demonstrated by replacing Sb and S with larger Bi and I ions, which led to improved photovoltaic performance in solar cells, especially in low bandgap Sb-2(SxSe1-x)(3) cells. Codoping also enhanced the stability of the doped cells.

Enhancing the efficiency of Sb2S3 solar cells using dual-functional potassium doping

Huan Ning et al.

Summary: This study successfully utilized potassium doping to improve the crystallinity and optical transmission of cadmium sulphide films, which were then used as a buffer layer to enhance the efficiency of antimony sulphide thin-film solar cells. The potassium diffusion into the Sb2S3 film increased crystallinity and light absorption while reducing surface roughness, ultimately leading to improved device efficiency and a high current density.
