Comparative study on the characteristics of condensable particulate matter emitted from three kinds of coal

Yupeng Feng et al.

Summary: Current emissions of Condensable particulate matter (CPM) from coal-fired stationary sources far exceed filterable particulate matter, attracting widespread attention. CPM is mainly in the form of droplets or spheres, with detected heavy metal elements such as Hg, As, Se, and Sb.

Coordinated effects of air pollution control devices on PAH emissions in coal-fired power plants and industrial boilers

Xiaolin Wu et al.

Summary: Coal-fired power plants are significant sources of PAH emissions, with different air pollution control devices showing varying effects on PAH emissions. WESPs and LLT-ESPs were found to be effective in reducing PAH emissions, offering potential for adoption in other plants for PAH reduction.

Emission characteristics of condensable particulate matter and sulfur trioxide from coal-fired power plants

Fuxin Yang et al.

Summary: This study investigated the migration and emission characteristics of non-criteria air pollutants SO3 and CPM in two typical coal-fired power plants, revealing notable CPM emissions that should not be ignored. The results showed that wet flue gas desulfurization and wet electrostatic precipitator can reduce the emission of organic fraction in CPM, while one-stage wet flue gas desulfurization has a negative effect on the mitigation of inorganic fraction in CPM.
