Graviton chirality and topological order in the half-filled Landau level

F. D. M. Haldane et al.

Summary: Studying the fractional quantum Hall state at Landau level filling factor 5/2 is intriguing as it may be the first non-Abelian state, and its precise nature can potentially be resolved by examining the chirality of its graviton excitations using circularly polarized Raman scattering, which has advantages over existing edge probes.

Tracing non-Abelian anyons via impurity particles

Niccolo Baldelli et al.

Summary: The relationship between impurity particles and quasiholes in a system described by the Moore-Read wave function reveals the connection between their angular momentum and the physics of non-Abelian excitations, providing important evidence for proving the non-Abelian nature of the excitations.

Probing the spin structure of the fractional quantum Hall magnetoroton with polarized Raman scattering

Dung Xuan Nguyen et al.

Summary: In this paper, we derive an effective theory describing the coupling of the FQH system with photons in resonant Raman scattering experiments. The light scattering spectra measured in the experiments are found to be proportional to the spectral densities of spin-2 components of the kinetic part of the stress tensor. Raman scattering with circularly polarized light can measure the spin of the magnetoroton excitation in the FQH system.
