Super-ductile, injectable, fast self-healing collagen-based hydrogels with multi-responsive and accelerated wound-repair properties

Min Zhang et al.

Summary: A multifunctional, extremely soft collagen-based hydrogel (COL-GG-PNIPAMs) was prepared by introducing collagen, guar gum, poly(N-isopropylacrylamide), graphene oxide, and borax, showing desirable properties like processability, injectability, and remoldability. The hydrogels exhibited super-ductile deformation, self-healing, thermal sensitivity, and NIR-responsive properties. They also showed potential for strain sensing and enhanced skin wound repair effect, expanding the applications of collagen-based hydrogels.

Characterization of food gels prepared from the water extract of fish (Cyprinus carpio L.) scales: From molecular components to sensory attributes

Jun Li et al.

Summary: Increasing WEFS concentration enhances gel formation rate, stability, and texture, while moderate amounts of sucrose and NaCl improve gel properties. Excessive sucrose and NaCl additions can negatively impact gel stability and characteristics. The sensory attributes of fish scales (FS) gels are mainly influenced by WEFS concentration.
