Facile green bio-fabricated silver nanoparticles from Microchaete infer dose-dependent antioxidant and anti-proliferative activity to mediate cellular apoptosis

Summary: This study successfully biosynthesized silver nanoparticles using Microchaete extract and demonstrated their potential medical applications such as antioxidant, anti-proliferative, and apoptotic effects. The physiochemical properties of the AgNPs were thoroughly characterized through various analytical techniques, confirming their activity and unique characteristics. The delayed apoptosis observed in HepG2 and MCF-7 cell lines may be attributed to the superior antioxidant properties of the Microchaete-based AgNPs.

Summary: This study demonstrates the biological synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using Nostoc muscorum NCCU 442 aqueous extract as the reducing and capping agent, with the nanoparticles characterized by various methods. The synthesized AgNPs showed polycrystalline nature and significant antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus MTCC 902.

Removal of tetracycline hydrochloride from wastewater by Zr/Fe-MOFs/GO composites

Summary: Zirconium-iron metal-organic frameworks (Zr/Fe-MOFs) and Zr/Fe-MOF/graphene oxide (GO) composites were prepared via solvothermal synthesis and their ability to adsorb tetracycline hydrochloride from aqueous solution was explored. By optimizing conditions, the results indicated that these composites have heterogeneous adsorption surfaces and can effectively treat wastewater.

Preparation of Zn-MOFs by microwave-assisted ball milling for removal of tetracycline hydrochloride and Congo red from wastewater
