Increase maize productivity and water use efficiency through application of potassium silicate under water stress

Summary: In Egypt, water shortage is a key limiting factor for agriculture, causing different impacts on plants. An experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of potassium silicate on maize productivity and water use efficiency, showing that irrigation every 15 days and foliar application of K-silicate three times resulted in the highest grain yield and quality.
