The study investigates the energy loss of a rotating heavy point particle along a circle in N = 4 super Yang-Mills (SYM) theory with chemical potential. The calculations show that the inclusion of chemical potential tends to increase the energy loss, which is consistent with the findings for a linearly moving quark.
We study the energy lost by a rotating heavy point particle along a circle of radius l with angular velocity omega in N = 4 super Yang-Mills (SYM) theory with chemical potential from holography. We compute the energy loss both from the drag force channel and radiation channel, respectively. It is shown that for both cases the inclusion of chemical potential tends to increase the energy loss, consistently with the findings of the energy loss of a linearly moving quark.
