Oral Manifestations in Patients with COVID-19: A Living Systematic Review

Summary: This living systematic review aimed to summarize evidence on the prevalence of oral signs and symptoms in patients with COVID-19. The study included 40 studies with a total of 10,228 patients from 19 countries, revealing that gustatory impairment was the most common oral manifestation. Taste disorders were found to be associated with COVID-19, with implications on disease onset and progression. Additionally, oral mucosal lesions were found to present as coinfections and secondary manifestations with a variety of clinical aspects.
