All-sapphire-based fiber-optic pressure sensor for high-temperature applications based on wet etching

Zhiqiang Shao et al.

Summary: This paper presents an all-sapphire-based pressure sensor using an optimized wet etching process to enhance interference signal quality. Experimental results show that the modulation jump issue can be solved and cavity length fluctuations reduced to +/- 5nm when the surface roughness of the pressure sensitive diaphragm is 0.39nm.
