Loss of Tid1/DNAJA3 Co-Chaperone Promotes Progression and Recurrence of Hepatocellular Carcinoma after Surgical Resection: A Novel Model to Stratify Risk of Recurrence

Kuan-Yang Chen et al.

Summary: Tid1 acts as a tumor suppressor in HCC by affecting Nrf2 protein levels and malignancy of HCC cells. Low Tid1 expression and high Nrf2 expression in non-tumor parts are associated with worse recurrence-free survival in multivariate analysis of 210 HCC cases. A scoring system integrating clinical and pathological factors can predict RFS in surgically resected HCC patients.
