Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation to Reduce Pain With Medication Abortion A Randomized Controlled Trial

Summary: The study found that high-frequency transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (hfTENS) reduced pain within 8 hours of misoprostol intake during medication abortion and also reduced pain immediately after treatment compared to placebo. High-frequency TENS provides an effective non-pharmacological option for pain management during medication abortion.
